Hopeless Dreamer.....

....I have been working hard and trying to get my art out there! I am in more shops, and I am in three upcoming shows, which I am very excited for, and also nervous! My jewelry is very personal to me and I want, no need, people to like it! It's like putting my soul out there for people to pick at!  We don't create just for the sake of creating or to make money! In fact, with art, the money is an afterthought! We create because our soul dies if we don't! It's a need, a drug, a release, a stress reducer, a calm that you can't explain unless you create as well! It's a dream world we create and cocoon ourselves and our families in! It's a safe haven for the hopeless dreamer who needs imagination, craves freedom, and has a need to touch lives in a way unexplainable! As I've said before, having someone want to adorn their bodies and/or life with my little creations is the highest form of compliment! It's intimate, humbling, and personal! It grounds you and connects you to people of all backgrounds and fills your heart with great pride and happiness! It gives you wings to fly and opens doors to others you may not have otherwise met! It's true, I am a hopeless dreamer, but I'd rather be that than have no hopes, dreams, aspirations, or be void of imagination and friendships that are so dear to me! So I will continue to create, hope, befriend, and yes, hoplessly dream, for I am the..... HOPLESSS DREAMER! Join me.....

SHINE...this is my mantra! One of my fav words right now, although, at times, it's hard to live by even my own word. I believe we should all shine as bright as we can and it is our duty to help others shine as well! Family, friends, even strangers....all it takes is a smile, or a kind word, or holding a door open for someone can brighten even the worst day. Remember, the grass is NOT always greener on the other side and we cannot judge unless we have walked a day in someone elses shoes! Shine can mean so many different things to so many different people, but when you shine your brightest it can brighten the darkest corner for someone in need and thus making your light that much brighter. Such a simple concept...so go ahead, let yourself SHINE!!!!
I regret that I have neglected my blog but not any more! Thanks to a couple friends who suggested I focus on it some more and through other fan responses! Blogging is a great way to stay focused and to gain insight and inspiration. There are so many beautiful artsy blogs out there and I aspire to be one of those blogs. I will make more time to do so! I admit that I am waiting for my floor to dry, which is allowing me the time to catch up right now, so not having time is really no excuse as it doesn't take much time  just to catch up! Any way....I promise to be better.

Oops.....

I got ahead of my self! The reopening at The Foundrie is the 20th! Sorry! The 21st is Wenwood Farm Wineries 9th annual Redbud Festival and earth and art fair, which is my other favorite job! Yep, I work at a winery and make jewelry! How fab is that! Another reason for my overwhelmed excitedness...(not sure that's a word, but I made it so) I do events for the winery as well, ie. wine tastings and much more, so I have one crazy schedule, plus two kids and a husband....hmmmm, it's becoming clear to me why I have no time, it's all great stuff though so now, back to creating, thanks for reading about my crazy life and for allowing me to blab on....

Overwhelmed.....and excited!

Sorry for my delay in posting lately, but things are happening and it's been crazy and cool! I've been accepted to some amazing shops and invited to some pretty big shows so, needless to say, been in a frenzy of creating! I'm just so humbled to know that people enjoy and want my jewelry! Wow... Who knew?! Well, my hubby did, he's the one who made me get more serious about what I love to do, so I feel so blessed to have his support and to be able to do what I love and that people love what I do! Hmmmm.... That's pretty profound, aye?! Such a lucky chic I am! Anyway....a couple cool shops that focus on local Indie artists that you can find my pieces are Screaming Mimi's in Maplewood, Mo. And The Founderie at at Chesterfield Mall ( who's closed right now because they're moving to a larger space! Their grand reopening is April 21st! ) AND then, this sat. I'm at a Women's Auxillary Fasion Show in Hermann, then next month Adam Puchta wineries Moms Day Out event and then three days vending at the Show-Me Burlesque Festival in St. Louis which should be ahhhhh, mazing! And as if that's not enough, Soulard's craft and art market once a month all Summer, whew... To name a few! So, gotta get off here and create.....stay posted for more events and more detailed postings as dates get closer....hence my overwhelmed and excited.....

...things that make me happy!

This lovely little dinosaur planter was discovered at the Green With Indie Show at Webster University. I felt like I was in my element, surrounded by like minded people that live to create and create to live! I met so many wonderful, artsy, talented, innovative, fun loving people! So inspiring! Now all I want to do is create and hang with this fab, eclectic group of artists! My dinosaur comes from the creative mind of "Toxic Rocket!" She had creative written all over her, from her lovely red hair, to her big earrings, and zombie all stars! The dinos made everyone smile and were flying off her display table to their new homes! Mine is my fav color of turquoise, and has a small live plant placed lovingly and artistically in the Dino's back. These quirky little creations would make any one happy! Mine is named Madonna and she is now my booth mascot when I do art shows.... so watch for her to make more appearances! SHE makes me happy!

We all carry one, why not have it make a personal statement about you and at the same time, actually BE a statement piece?! So here are a few examples! "Shine!" necklace

Inspiring sentiment adorns this hand hammered copper blank that has been given a vintage patina! Lovely, opalescent sea foam glass beads adorn the chain, back of the neck and dangling from the focal piece with dancing movement and bling! Great flashy beads! It's attached to a vintage copper chain with a vintage rhinestone circlet! If you like bling, this is the piece for you! Quite a lovely statement piece looking for a new home!

Sorry, my bad.....

I posted a lovely digital collage with the artists name and I spelled it wrong! So sorry Rachelle! The proper spelling is Rachelle Panagarry! Check out her amazing, colorful, and inspiring art on Facebook and etsy!
