Hopeless Dreamer.....

....I have been working hard and trying to get my art out there! I am in more shops, and I am in three upcoming shows,, which I am very excited for, and also nervous! My jewelry is very personal to me and I want, no need, people to like it! It's like putting my soul out there for people to pick at! That said, I have turned in three applications to different venues that are juried, and I'm just dying from hope, anxiety, nervousness, excitement, and the list goes on! I so hope I get accepted, and I know it's not supposed to be personal, but with your art, it is! I'm sure that you artsy people understand! We don't create just for the sake of creating or to make money! In fact, with art, the money is an afterthought! We create because our soul dies if we don't! It's a need, a drug, a release, a stress reducer, a calm that you can't explain unless you create as well! It's a dream world we create and cocoon ourselves and our families in! It's a safe haven for the hopeless dreamer who needs imagination, craves freedom, and has a need to touch lives in a way unexplainable! As I've said before, having someone want to adorn their bodies and/or life with my little creations is the highest form of compliment! It's intimate, humbling, and personal! It grounds you and connects you to people of all backgrounds and fills your heart with great pride and happiness! It gives you wings to fly and opens doors to others you may not have otherwise met! It's true, I am a hopeless dreamer, but I'd rather be that than have no hopes, dreams, aspirations, or be void of imagination and friendships that are so dear to me! So I will continue to create, hope, befriend, and yes, hoplessly dream, for I am the..... HOPLESSS DREAMER! Join me.....

crazy but awesome life....

Life gets away from us at times, but I always feel so fortunant to be able to do what I love! I'm married to my best friend, I create art and sell it, I'm still in awe that people actually want to pay for what I make....such a compliment! I work for my best friend selling wine....this job truly does'nt suck, and I'm a Mom to two wonderful, sweet, healthy, beautiful children! Life is so good, but we still get behind, frustrated, caught up in the rat race and we find ourselves forgetting to tell those closest to us how important they are to us and how we couldn't get through this rat race without them! The people in my life lift me up, support me, give me a reason, and make me want to be better! I love them so much and am so lucky to have them! Thank you!

What matters most.....

I'm going to share something I read that means so much to me and is so true.....

Some things don't matter much.
Like the color of a house.
How big is that in the overall scheme of life?
But lifting a persons heart, now that matters.
The whole problem with people is....
they know what matters, but they don't choose it.
The hardest thing on Earth is choosing what matters!
